There are many steps that are involved when going through the process of when a crime is taken place depending on the type of crime. There are many challenges to face going through this process. These are the main steps that are taken place when it comes down to when a crime is committed. The first that will happen is the initial investigation. Which is when the crime is investigated by the law enforcement agency. The second step is the formal charge and procedure. Which is when a prosecutor will file a direct complaint or get a grand jury indictment. The third step is the initial appearance. Which is when the defendant goes before a judge and the judge informs the defendant what they are being accused of. The fourth step the arraignment.
