My Major In Criminal Justice

There are many career paths to take in the criminal justice field. Each career goes into the three branches of the criminal justice field: law enforcement, the courts, and corrections. Which goes into the criminal justice majors: police detective, prosecutor, defense attorney, police officer, state trooper, FBI agent, and forensics science. Although, there are many more majors in the criminal justice field to choose from. My main three majors: forensic science, police detective, and FBI agent. I never had my mind set on one specific major until I lost my older brother. The reason for that is because I would want to be able to help those in need of justice for their lost ones. Some may think “What does losing your brother have anything to do with your career major?” To be completely honest, when something tragic happens in your life; it takes a big toll on your life. What is Criminal Justice?

Everyone has their own definition of the criminal justice system. Some may not agree with other peoples definition. For instances, someone may say the criminal justice system is a system that is messed up and has a lot of problems and they do not do their job right. While someone else may say the exact opposite. The definition of the Criminal Justice System according to google is the system of the law enforcement that is directly involved in apprehending, prosecuting, defending, sentencing, and punishing those who are suspected or convicted of criminal offenses. Although it is what the criminal justice system is but many have their own definition of the criminal justice system. My definition of the criminal justice system is a system of justice when a crime is committed and police officers make an arrest and investigators observe the scene and then evidence gets sent to the prosecutors as well the charge that should be charged, and they make the decision of what the criminal s...
